This past weekend marked the fourth month since the Coronavirus (COVID-19) was officially declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization.
Since March 11th, our lives have changed in ways that we could not have previously imagined. We have physically distanced from those we love, changed how we connect to others and temporarily sacrificed some of the traditions and vacations that provide us reprieve and the opportunity to refuel. We have seen the struggles of society and the goodness in humanity. As the world around us has continued to evolve, so too have our feelings. During these last four months there are times we may have felt scared, hopeful, overwhelmed, committed, anxious, optimistic, or fatigued. This moment provides each of us an opportunity to reflect on the ways we have personally evolved and grown. Likewise, it provides Danville the opportunity to express the prevalent feeling in our minds and hearts – one of ultimate gratitude.
We continue to be inspired by the efforts and dedication of our employees. They have not shirked away from the challenges of this pandemic. They remain dedicated to providing the best supports possible to each individual in each program. They have quickly adapted to changes in protocol and practice to keep everyone safe and healthy. They face challenges head on and have problem-solved in unique and caring ways. They ensure each individual we support is at the center of all that we do. Each one of them is a cherished member of the Danville family and we could not be more grateful for their unwavering commitment. They ARE the good in the world.
